Redskins Injury Report: Garcon Likely Out, Wilson Likely In

ASHBURN, Va. (CBSDC) — The Redskins will likely be without Pierre Garcon for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Defensively, cornerback Josh Wilson is expected to play, while safety Brandon Meriweather will be listed as questionable when the Redskins submit their injury report to the NFL this afternoon.

“Pierre is doubtful,” head coach Mike Shanahan said. “He went through drill work still a little sore, but he didn’t take any reps with the team.”

Garcon caught four passes for 109 yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. The breakthrough performance in his Redskins debut included three receptions on Washington’s first four plays and an 88-yard, catch-and-run that went for a score.

The first-year Redskin and fifth-year veteran was listed as questionable a week ago on Friday, but his foot hasn’t improved enough for him to be on the verge of playing with week-three looming.
